Timing¶
Default - 75 min¶
This timing flow works well and has been used many times. It allows enough time for two rounds of training.
Table 1:Base Timing
| Duration | Relative Time | Topic |
|---|---|---|
| 0:30:00 | -0:30:00 | setup |

More Relaxed - 2 hours¶
This training worked well in a more relaxed context. I used this version in a brewery, the extended social time allowed people to refill.
This would likely also work well with a younger audience who may need more time to author documents and be more easily distracted
Table 1:Relaxed Timing

Short Timing - 1 Hour¶
This version includes only a single round of training.

Venue Requirements and Considerations¶
Requirements:
sound system proportionate to the audience size
table to hold bins
place to put the poster boards
Tips:
a long table or a short table + a chalkboard/whiteboard ledge works well
make sure the items can be high enough for the audience to see
Material List¶
mini sticky notes and white in matching colors to the pingpong balls (enough sets of colors for each group + the facilitator set)
ping ping balls in 5 colors (e.g. blue, green, purple, yellow, white)
at least 8, better 20+ bins large enough to hold up to ~30 ping pong balls
paper that is in contrast to all 5 colors (1 per person)
poster boards to post generated documents; 2 works well for two rounds of training
(optional) durable bin labels instead of tape
(optional) tape
Advance Material Setup¶
Create material sets to make passing out paper and stickies easier
Pre-label bins if possible
Setup¶
Label 2 sets of 4 bins
Set up a pretrained model, aim for 20-40% end-of-document (white, here) balls
